Buy the grooms a drink
Two glasses of champagne, somewhere with a view we'll never forget.

Chapter One
Every love story starts somewhere — ours began with a first date neither of us wanted to end. What started as one evening turned into every evening, and somewhere along the way, two lives quietly became one.
A 1924 house with a century of stories, two cats with opinions about everything, a garden that keeps us humble, and a shared belief that home is wherever we're together. We've filled the years with dinners out, trips near and far, and the kind of everyday moments that turn out to be the big ones.
Beneath draped fabric and twinkling lights, one of us asked and the other said yes — and now here we are, asking the people we love most to stand with us as we make it official.
The Celebration
A full hour to find a seat, find a drink, and find your people — the bar opens right away.
Short, sweet, and guaranteed to include at least one happy tear.
Golden-hour drinks and hors d'oeuvres under the string lights.
A long table, candlelight taking over as the sun sets, and toasts — long ones encouraged.
Until the candles burn down.
Black tie — dress to the nines and feel free to try to outshine the grooms. The celebration is outdoors on grass and a deck, so choose footwear that can handle both. Heels, loafers, something fabulous — kindly leave the sneakers at home.
With Gratitude
Your presence on October 2nd is the only gift we need. But if you'd like to spoil us anyway, we're saving for a honeymoon instead of things — here's what your generosity becomes:
Two glasses of champagne, somewhere with a view we'll never forget.
Because planning a backyard wedding is its own workout.
The long, candlelit kind — multiple courses, zero rush.
An excursion we'll still be telling stories about at our tenth anniversary.
Extending the honeymoon by a night before real life resumes.
For whatever the trip surprises us with along the way.
Along the Way
From Out of Town
Getting Here
Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is about 25 minutes from the celebration. Most major carriers fly direct from both coasts.
Rideshares from the airport are easy and run about $30–40.
Staying
We'll be reserving a hotel block downtown, a short ride from Irvington — details to come with your invitation.
Downtown Indy and Mass Ave also have plenty of charming options if you'd like to make a weekend of it.
The Night Of
The ceremony and reception are both at our home in Irvington, on Indianapolis' historic east side. Street parking is available nearby.
We'd gently suggest a rideshare home — the champagne will be flowing.
